I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord. – Psalm 40:1-3
Psalm 40:1-3 is Annie’s favorite Bible verse. She knows God continues to hear the prayers of those who need to be healed, mended and strengthened. To Annie, FUM is a song that is sung through the many projects, missions and people of FUM. The work of FUM is one that continually needs to be shared—to be sung. Therefore, Annie works diligently to capture through words the narrative and song God continues to write and direct through the work and the people of Friends United Meeting. Her main responsibilities is editing Quaker Life, creating FOCUS bulletin inserts and any written material that goes out of FUM’s main office.
Annie is a 2007 graduate of Earlham School of Religion. In her spare time, Annie loves to read, quilt, and spend time with her family.
