Greetings. I hope this letter finds you doing fine. We feel incredibly honored to have you and your family investing in us to commence our ministry at Friends Theological College, Kenya. We still have a long way to go. As you pray for us, we would like to keep you in the picture of what has been happening and what lies ahead of us in the next couple of months.
While Nancy still maintains her nursing job in Columbus area of central Ohio, Robert terminated his teaching services with Columbus State College and Central Ohio Technical College at the end of spring semester 2014. He did this to invest full time in support-raising for their Friends Theological College (FTC) ministry. Nancy does accompany Robert on weekend travels to churches and meetings for speaking engagements.
In June 2014 we visited Wabash Friends in Indiana, attended the 30th FUM Triennial gathering at the Indiana Wesleyan University followed by the FUM field staff retreat at Quaker Knoll, Wilmington, Ohio. We spent the first 2 weeks of July among Friends in Western Yearly Meeting. Friends, thanks for opening your hearts to us.
We plan to attend the Evangelical Friends Church – Eastern Region Missionary Festival at Malone University, Canton, Ohio the weekend of July 19 and share our vision and objectives for our FTC ministry among Friends at Athens Friends Meeting, Athens, Ohio. The last two weeks of July and first two weeks of August will be spent among Friends in Iowa and Baltimore Yearly Meetings.
With full support coming in, we anticipate our travel to Kenya by the month of September 2014. Please pray for us.
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms” (1 Peter 4:10).
