Reports to: Web and Communications Specialist

The Web and Communications Intern will work alongside Friends United Meeting’s Web and Communications Specialist, helping to coordinate FUM’s ongoing web presence, social media strategy, and creative forms of new media outreach that help to promote unity throughout a diverse association of Yearly Meetings across the world.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The work of the Web and Communications Intern will vary depending on personal skills and interests, but may include:
- - Facebook and Twitter management and curation
- - Video production and editing
- - Podcasting and audio production
- - Strategic use of blog platforms
- - Other creative experiments in new media and special projects at the initiative of the intern
Prospective interns should have an active interest in social media, audio/video production, public writing or strategic communications. The applicant should be committed to the faith and mission of Friends United Meeting and be prepared to enthusiastically promote the work of this international association of Quakers across Africa, the Middle East and the Americas.
